About Us
The Kamsack Fire Department was started in 1912 by the Town of Kamsack. Throughout the years, we have grown from a 6 member team to a team of
over 20 members. All of our firefighters are volunteers. We receive about 40 calls each year. Our fire department covers the following areas: Town of
Kamsack, The Village of Veregin, Cote First Nation, RM of Cote, RM of Sliding Hills Division 4, and Duck Mountain Provincial Park.

Training Schedule
The Members of the Kamsack Fire Department train every Wednesday evening. We train to the IFSTA standard 10-01 for level 1 fire fighting.
We also take extra classes outside the department--in 2000 we teamed up with the Assiniboine Valley Health District to provide
Emergency Medical Training. Eight members of the department were trained as First Responders and are now licensed by the Department of Health.
